Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. In Charleston O'Dell's reporting about the relaxed approach police take towards DUI cases resulted in a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that resulted in State authorities issuing a more stringent directive regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell, after her stint at Charleston working as a journalist, was a co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter during weekends. O'Dell is the anchor of choice for Access Hollywood. In addition she is a contributor for NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's reported on major events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted the Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. Co-hosted also for the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
